Vivint Smart Home to Keynote Parks Associates’ 20th Annual CONNECTIONS™ Conference

Up to 50% of smart home device owners interact daily with their devices; executive keynote to address evolution of the connected home

Parks Associates announced today that Vivint Smart Home Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer Matt Eyring will deliver a keynote on the evolution of the smart home, including strategies to create the best user experiences, at CONNECTIONS™, May 26 at 9:30 a.m. The 20th annual CONNECTIONS™: The Premier Connected Home Conference takes place May 24-26 at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport in San Francisco.

“The smart home is in the early adopter phase, and already usage is high, with 40-50% of owners of many different smart home devices interacting with these products on a daily or almost daily basis,” said Tom Kerber, Director of Research, Home Controls & Energy, Parks Associates. “With multiple use cases driving the market forward, smart home products and services appeal to multiple consumer segments, and the emerging challenge is to create a unified, interoperable system while offering a customized solution that learns and even anticipates individual preferences. Vivint’s insight into the evolution of the smart home will be valuable as we enter the next phase of the smart home.”

Smart Home Device Daily Usage

“As we transition from the connected home to the smart home of the future, the user experience for the consumer is poised for radical change,” Eyring said. “A smart home powered by a comprehensive system of intelligent, connected devices will move consumers well beyond remote control to a truly intelligent and intuitive home experience.”

CONNECTIONS™ brings together over 650 industry leaders to address use cases and emerging business models that will successfully engage customers and grow revenues in the converging IoT industries – including smart home, connected entertainment, and mobile ecosystems.
