Young consumers leading the way for connected CE in Western Europe
New European research from Parks Associates finds 87% of adults 18-24 in U.K. and German broadband households subscribe to a pay-TV service, while only 49% of these young adults in Spain subscribe to pay TV. The new data was released in the firm’s Primary Research report, Emerging Power of IoT in Europe.
Parks Associates' latest European consumer research also reveals:

54% of Spanish and 38% of U.K. and German broadband households connect a PC to the TV.

More than 40% of broadband households in Germany and Spain own a smart TV.

Western European homes will buy over 24 million intelligent screens in 2014, including smartphones, tablets, computers, and smart TVs, and the younger generations are leading this purchasing trend.
