This consumer research survey quantifies consumer actions regarding their energy usage, ownership and future plans for energy services and products, and relationship with their electric utility.

The project also measures the impact of factors such as CE ownership, deregulation, and bundling options on consumers' energy choices and preferences. Consumers have long associated energy services with their utility. This research provides a comprehensive overview of the strength of that association, opportunities for utilities to expand their offerings, and possibilities for other providers to siphon customers through bundles that include energy-related value-added services.
