Dave Davies is Senior Director, Strategy and Product Management for Cisco’s $2.5B Connected Devices Business Unit (CDBU). In this role, Dave leads the global product and business strategy, defines the product roadmaps, establishes product development priorities, and sets product requirements across all CPE segments within CDBU.

Dave plays a key role in integrating Cisco’s overall hardware and software story into a cohesive and diverse client offering. Under his leadership Cisco has consistently been a market leader in the development and deployment of managed gateway, set-top, and modem products.

Prior to his current role, Dave preformed numerous roles including:

  • Senior Director, Business Development for Cisco’s CDBU
  • General Manager for the Cisco’s IPTV Services Delivery Platform Business Unit
  • Vice President of Strategy and Product Marketing for Scientific Atlanta’s Subscriber Networks business
  • Senior Associate with Booz, Allen & Hamilton Inc.
     

Dave has an M.B.A. from Harvard University Graduate School of Business, an M.S./M.E. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a B.S./M.E. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Greg Roberts, Vice President, Marketing, iControl Networks

As Vice President of Marketing for iControl Networks, Greg is responsible for strategic market development initiatives in addition to sales and marketing support and consultation for iControl deployment partners. He has over 20 years of strategic consumer and B2B marketing, brand and advertising experience in various industries, primarily in wireless and home security. Greg came to iControl from Helio where he was the vice president of marketing strategy responsible for brand management, customer acquisition and retention marketing initiatives. Prior to Helio, Greg served as the vice president of marketing for Disney Mobile (The Walt Disney Company) and was the director of national marketing at Cingular Wireless (now AT&T). Greg also spent over eight years in the advertising agency industry at The Richards Group, DDB Needham and GSD&M. Greg received his M.A. degree in Communications from Michigan State University and his B.B.A. degree from the University of North Texas.

Dick Seger founded Securitas Direct - Verisure in Sweden 1988 within Security company Securitas AB and was appointed the Managing Director.

In line with the international expansion Mr Seger was 1997 appointed Divisional Manager of Securitas Direct - Verisure. In 2006, the year the company was spun off from Securitas AB and its share was listed at the Nasdaq OMX Stockholm Exchange, Dick Seger was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer.

It was taken private from the Stockholm Stock Exchange by an EQT-led group in 2008. Bain Capital LLC and Hellman & Friedman LLC bought the unit in 2011.

Securitas Direct - Verisure is a leading innovator and supplier of monitored home alarms and connected services for the Smart Home in Europe. The company has today 1.5 million customers in nine European and three Latin American countries who are served by 6,500 employees together with a large partner network.

Dick Seger holds a Master of Science from the Linköping University in Sweden and is born 1953.

Tom Kerber - Parks Associates

Tom leads Parks Associates research in the areas of home controls, energy management, and home networks. Tom’s work includes industry reports, consumer and utility industry survey work, and consulting engagements to leading home systems device and service companies. Tom regularly speaks at industry conferences in the U.S. and abroad and is a frequent guest at client planning meetings.

Prior to joining the firm, Tom was a client of Parks Associates’ Home Energy Management service (2010) while serving Lennox Industries as Corporate Director, Advanced Engineering and as Director of Product Management.

Tom has previously worked in the utilities industry, the consumer goods industry, and for Motorola in the telecom industry. He holds a MS in Software Engineering from the University of Texas and a BS in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
