According to recent Parks Associates energy research, half of U.S. broadband households who own a smart energy device would allow their utility access and control of their device if they received a product rebate in exchange. Smart Home Devices Create Opportunities to Generate Awareness of Energy Programs

According to recent Parks Associates research, consumers are less familiar with energy programs than they were at the end of 2014, reporting particular declines in awareness of energy monitoring products and tax incentives for energy-saving programs. The research firm’s 4Q 2015 survey of U.S. broadband households found 19% are very familiar with tax incentives and 11% are very familiar with energy management/monitoring products, both of which are lower than 2014 levels.
