What's new in 2018 that keeps you upbeat/optimistic about the connected health market?
There is a clear push by the payer market to start owning more responsibility for helping consumers/patients better navigate their care. This is leading to new forms of access, improved virtual care modalities and greater responsibility for care delivery.

What's the most effective strategy/approach you have seen that engages consumers for health wellness behavioral changes?
Modality is critical. You need to meet the patient where they want to be, and in many cases that isn't via a video chat. The market as a whole needs to focus on lowering barriers to access.

What independent living solutions will help keep people in their homes longer?
A greater diversity of coordinated primary and specialty care delivered virtually will help people be treated in place.

How is AI in health helping to improve the care experience?
We view AI as a way to improve the efficiency of care delivered and improve physician decision support. We are actively working on NLP routing protocols for customers who are actively engaging in multi-specialty care, and we are building tools to better stratify risk and identify the most at-risk patients.

How will innovations in connectivity, such as the emergence of 5G, impact the health market?
Improved bandwidth at this point will have marginal positive impacts. 4G already covers around 97% of the US population with sufficient bandwidth to provide HD video and sufficient data transfer rates.
