He used the data from our recent study Consumer Electronics Purchases: Quarterly Monitor. Despite the millions of tax rebate checks that have made their way to U.S. consumers, we have a feeling that many have simply been saved or used to pay down debt or perhaps more mundane purchases. Heck, ours went to get our fence replaced following a spring storm!
