What is the most important next step for healthcare providers to engage consumers in digital health solutions?
Consumer engagement is a hot buzz word these days in the healthcare community; something everyone is talking about but no one has really figured out yet. There are really two parts to it from our perspective; first is getting consumers attention, which can draw many best practices from consumer marketing in general; but the second part, is the harder part, which is to actually get consumers to change their behavior, to make different decisions in their daily lives to improve their health. These two should be analyzed and attacked differently if real improvement are to be achieved.

What will be the biggest impact for consumers as a result of digital health solutions?
Care Innovations has long envisioned a world in which people can age in place, where the healthcare they need comes to them –at home- as they need it and can improve their health in cost effective ways.

What will be the biggest driver for digital health market?
Changes in how Medicare, Medicaid and the commercial insurers pay for new innovations in care. There are a lot of great programs, solutions, technologies out there today that are not being fully leveraged because the ROI in a fee-for-service world doesn’t make sense. But as the healthcare world moves to a value based care focus, many innovative solutions will be adopted because they do drive better health outcomes and lower healthcare costs over time.
