Ahead of the event, we asked Adam to share with us his thoughts on consumer engagement and adoption in energy markets:

What is the impact of direct consumer participation in energy markets?
I think the opportunity here is for mutual wins for consumers and energy providers. Both parties are able to save money. The key is finding the right balance so it is worth it for the consumer and does not disrupt their normal way of life too much.

What are strategies to increase consumer engagement?
The start of consumer engagement is education and helping them to understand their energy usage so they can then take action it.

What innovations are driving consumer adoption of energy management?
The addition of connectivity to key energy usage points in the home such as thermostats, outlets and whole home systems as well as precise energy data are helping to drive adoption for energy management.

How is the impact of voice and AI effecting consumers and the future role they will play in driving energy efficiency solutions?
First we must have excellent energy data to feed into these voice and AI enabled system. Once we have good data we can utilize that to provide unique insights to help consumers put in place better automation and energy saving behaviors in their homes.
