Increasing Home Value with Smart Home Features

by Parks Associates | May. 13, 2019

Parks Associates finds that 45% of likely homebuyers would choose a home with smart products over one without, where all other considerations are relatively the same. Consumer interest in smart home products and services is driving innovation among leading home builders who are crafting diverse strategies for leveraging smart home tech to enhance their brand, differentiate their product lines, and drive revenue. Device makers and service providers looking to partner with homebuilders need to better understand builders’ unique history with technology products, economics and business models, production and procurement processes. This fireside chat seeks to explore these issues from the perspective of two of the most innovative builders in the country.

Moderated by Brad Russell the CONNECTIONS™ session, “Fireside Chat: Builders: Key Channel for Smart Home Solutions,” special fireside chat features innovative home builders sharing insights on smart home integrations as standard and upgrades in new homes, the potential for voice technology as a whole-home interface, and new partnership opportunities in homebuilding.

This session takes place on Thursday, May 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Speakers include:

  • Jacob Atalla, VP, Sustainability, KB Home
  • David Kaiserman, President, Lennar Ventures, Lennar
