Industry Webcast: Technology Innovation & Disruption in Digital Health

by Parks Associates | Jul. 11, 2016

Research from Parks Associates shows signs of rising consumerism in the healthcare markets, with one-third of U.S. broadband households owning and using at least one connected health or wellness device. The research firm reveals that 40-45% of consumers with a chronic condition have used at least one health app.

Parks Associates will present topline research findings from its Connected Health Tracker Service on Thursday, July 28, during a complimentary digital health webcast. “Disruption and Innovation in the Top-three Digital Health Markets” will provide insights on virtual care, consumer wellness, and patient communications and education.

In the webcast, the international research firm will analyze the three leading digital health solution areas, examining technology innovations and disruptions. Areas include:

  • Virtual care solutions
  • Consumer fitness and wellness
  • Patient communications and education solutions

“The industry needs to prioritize education and outreach for caregivers and patients and examine ways for the wellness and well-being markets to connect with and inform insurers and medical providers and professionals,” said Harry Wang, Senior Research Director, Parks Associates.

Wang will also highlight breakout players and identify factors for true technology disruptions and sustainable business opportunities within these areas.

The webcast is a preview for the upcoming third-annual Connected Health Summit: Engaging Consumers and will begin at 1:00 p.m. CT on July 28. Connected Health Summit provides executives with in-depth analysis and discussion on the implications of the connected healthcare revolution and the resulting consumerization of healthcare.
