Non-linear video accounts for 49% of the video consumed on TVs
New research from Parks Associates released today reveals that non-linear video accounts for almost half of video consumers on TV screens in U.S. broadband households. The firm noted that each week, consumers watch nearly 17 hours of non-linear video, compared to only 11.5 hours of linear video.
During CONNECTIONS Summit at CES, Parks Associates director of research Barbara Kraus will lead a discussion on the evolution and future of streaming media. The session, "Streaming Media Devices in the Video Ecosystem," will specifically focus on impact to the ecosystem as pay-TV operators add streaming capabilities to their set-top boxes.
