16% of U.K. broadband households own a smart home device

CONNECTIONS™ Europe: Strategies for Smart Home and Consumer IoT to feature new consumer survey data on European smart home market

New consumer research from international research firm Parks Associates finds 16% of U.K. broadband households own a smart home device, compared to 26% in the U.S. The firm will share insights from its recent survey of 5,000 U.K. broadband households, including consumer interest and purchase intentions in smart home solutions, at the 13th-annual CONNECTIONS™ Europe: Strategies for Smart Home and Consumer IoT on 13-14 November at the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel.

Smart home device ownership by country

“In the U.K., much like the U.S., the most popular devices include smart thermostats, smart light bulbs, and networked cameras,” said Jennifer Kent, Director, Research Quality & Product Development, Parks Associates. “In some ways, we are seeing a smart home market emerge in parallel with the U.S., but each market has its own unique qualities. At CONNECTIONS™ Europe, we will examine the different strategies and partnerships to build successful smart home solutions across Europe.”

CONNECTIONS™ Europe: Strategies for Smart Home and Consumer IoT will feature multiple sessions with research and executive insight on the business opportunities, new revenue strategies, partnership opportunities, and technology disruptions for the smart home, security, energy management, and wellness industries.
