Save Social Media Posts with Seagate's Backup Plus

by Parks Associates | Jun. 13, 2012

Seagate launched a new external hard drive that continues the proud GoFlex tradition, but with a few new features and a totally new name: the Seagate Backup Plus line. The newest feature is the social media integration.

The Backup Plus line is the world’s first external hard drive that provides backup for content on social networks. The refined dashboard can save pictures from a Flickr or Facebook account with one click and a separate share button will upload photos and videos from your Backup Plus drive to either of those networks, and YouTube.

It’ll be interesting to see if Facebook reacts to the new saving capabilities, as the networking giant is buying up photo companies left and right. The Backup Plus drives hold the potential to change that.
