Smart Home Devices and Sensors offer Insurers New Data-driven Devices

by Parks Associates | May. 9, 2019

The advent of the IoT and smart home means that insurers will have the opportunity to deploy new products and services that mitigate their risk and secure access to data that will deliver new insights. There has been a lot of discussion within the insurance industry about how the smart home and IoT might improve risk assessment, mitigate losses, engage consumers, and create new revenue opportunities.

At Parks Associates annual event, CONNECTIONS: The Premier Connected Home Conference, we will look at research that suggests consumers would be interested in buying smart home products and services from their insurer.

Moderated by Kevin Meagher the session, “Insurance and Smart Home Products,” addresses how insurers can leverage smart home solutions to increase their value propositions for protecting the home while also providing operational efficiencies and introducing new services.

This session takes place on Wednesday, May 22 from 2:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Speakers include:

  • Drew Doleski, Senior Product Manager - IoT, Connected Home, Verisk Analytics
  • Yuval Harry, Head of Partnerships, Hippo Insurance
  • Brett Jurgens, CEO, Notion
  • David Wechsler, Sr. Director Channels & Partnerships, Comcast
