by Parks Associates | Mar. 22, 2022

Parks Associates’ continues its ninth-annual Connected Health Summit: Consumer Engagement and Innovation with the virtual session, Telehealth and Remote Monitoring: Health to Home, on Thursday, March 24, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM CT. Iris Berman, Vice President, Telehealth Service, Northwell Health will be featured for the interactive panel Telehealth Use and Growth at 11:15 AM CT, which addresses the shifts in the telehealth experience as the market moves towards a value-based care system and as technology allows for new applications, services, and appeal of healthcare services in the home. Prior to the session, Iris provided insights on key trends impacting the connected health and smart home market.

What do you consider to be one of the key trends impacting healthcare and the connected home?

"Keeping our aging population in their home has necessitated the need for innovation, efficiency, and ease in bringing care to the patient rather than the other way around. Integrated telehealth and appropriate RPM into the design need to be carefully thought out. In addition, the need to work with broadband providers to drive down cost as well as affordable hardware and how that is distributed and functional in one's home environment has created a rapidly changing field in Home Health and will require payers to cover telehealth in a more comprehensive and uniform way.

Our senior citizens are the largest growing population and are embracing care in the home, but in order to be inclusive design and consideration of all the above is essential to that successful transition."

Sponsored by ADT Medical Alert, Alarm.com, EarlySense, Rapid Response Monitoring, and Independa, Connected Health Summit addresses the impact of connected devices and IoT healthcare technologies on consumers as they seek more in-home health solutions.
