MEDIA ALERT: Parks Associates addresses TV Everywhere, Connected TV, Digital Content, and more at Digital Media Pipeline

Parks Associates Senior Research Analyst to present findings on Wednesday, Sept 15

Parks Associates’ Senior Research Analyst Brett Sappington will present recent research findings on the new ways consumers are viewing video content, including connected TVs, game consoles, OTT set-top boxes, and TV Everywhere and other service provider initiatives.

EMA’s Digital Media Pipeline is a one-day conference focusing on the business-to-business issues in the delivery of digital entertainment. The conference will take place September 15-16, 2010, in Los Angeles, California.

Worldwide sales of connected TVs will exceed 30 million in 2010, constituting about one-fourth of all HDTV sales. These devices, combined with the proliferation of pay-TV and online services, will help drive consumption of video content, which via the network will reach a variety of connected and mobile devices in the home. In the U.S. alone, revenues from pay-TV and online VoD, combined with interactive video advertising revenues, will grow from $8.5 billion in 2010 to almost $30 billion in 2014.
