Microsoft Creates Companion Web

by Parks Associates | Jul. 22, 2013

Microsoft has created "Companion Web" as a response to the steadily increasing number of connected devices consumers use daily.

Companion Web bridges the gap between a user's connected devices.  For example, what a person does on his or her phone can register on connected devices such as a television or laptop.

The first app to use Microsoft's Companion Web is Polar.  Polar works across multiple screens so the consumer can give his or her opinion about the content they are watching in real time.

Ideally, as more companies and apps employ Microsoft's Companion Web, second screen use will become more relevant.
