Lon Huber Lon Huber, SVP, Pricing & Customer Solutions, Duke Energy Corporation

Lon Huber serves as senior vice president of pricing and customer solutions for Duke Energy. With a focus on revenue generation and carbon savings, Lon leads the strategy and delivery of product & service portfolios spanning all customer types. To further meet evolving customer needs, Lon also oversees the development and implementation of innovative rate designs, advanced customer load analytics, and creative regulated solutions across eight different jurisdictions.

Prior to Duke, Lon worked for state commissions, clean technology companies and consumer advocates across the country as a consultant. Lon has also held various positions in the public and private sectors ranging from economic development to state government and the solar energy industry.
Lon has received numerous awards for his creative solutions to the electricity industry’s most pressing issues, including awards from Public Utilities Fortnightly, the top honor from the Energy Storage Association as well as Utility Dive’s Innovator of the Year award. Lon is also a regular instructor at FRI’s Advanced Rates Seminar at the University of Washington.

Eugenia Blackstone Eugenia Blackstone, CMO, Iris Powered by Generali

Eugenia Blackstone is the Chief Marketing Officer for Iris Powered by Generali, a division of Generali Global Assistance (GGA) and part of the larger Generali Group. Eugenia has been responsible for developing comprehensive marketing strategies for GGA's global identity protection solutions, now offered under the Iris Powered by Generali brand, for over a decade starting as a marketing manager for the business before serving as a Director of Marketing and VP of Global Marketing ahead of her current tenure as CMO. During her time at Iris, the brand's marketing campaigns have been recognized for multiple awards, including two Gold Globees for Marketing Campaign of the Year in 2022. Jean Anne Booth Jean Anne Booth, CEO, UnaliWear

A serial entrepreneur, Jean Anne started UnaliWear after selling previous startups to Texas Instruments and Apple. Jean Anne was the founder of Luminary Micro, the creators of the Stellaris microcontroller platform and the first to market with ARM Cortex-M3-based microcontroller solutions, purchased by Texas Instruments in May 2009 Jean Anne retired from TI in 2012 after serving as the general manager for TI's Stellaris family of products. Jean Anne was also a founder at Intrinsity, the creators of the graphics chip in Apple iPad products. Intrinsity sold to Apple in 2010. Jean Anne holds a BSEE from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MSCE from National Technical University.

Roger Clawson Roger Clawson, Sr. Consultant, Builder Division, Safe Streets USA

Roger is a Sr. Consultant for and responsible for designing and executing the RNC Builder Initiatives at Safe Streets USA, a national home automation and security installer of nearly 100,000 homes per year. He has spent four decades in concept development, professional sales, business ownership, and leadership consulting. He is a passionately focused on technology and the role it plays in delivering smart and sustainable solutions for builders. Roger was part of the launch team at Kwikset/Black & Decker that pioneered smart home tech with the first remote keyless entry deadbolts in 1998. He has developed and sold several low-tech firms as well as consulted on multiple high-tech start-ups through his mentorship work at U.C.I.’s incubation hub for entrepreneurs. He reentered the construction services industry in 2020 when asked to write a plan on how to best deliver advanced smart home tech to the nation’s Top 50 builders. Today, that plan has designed and delivered multiple top-tier solutions to the Top 10 production builders, utilizing differing platforms, equipment combinations, and budget targets. He is actively engaged with almost a third of the Top 30 builders in either initial launches or the redesign of existing smart offerings. In addition, he recently joined forces with Live View Technologies, Inc. to provide high tech surveillance services to improve job site safety and security.

Jesse Fallick is currently the VP of Product at Recurve, where he is obsessed with using software, advanced analytics, and novel program designs to help utilities and aggregators integrate distributed energy resources, energy efficiency, and demand flexibility into the emerging carbon-free energy grid. Prior to Recurve, Jesse was the VP of Business Intelligence at Lime Energy (A Willdan Company), where he oversaw the development of a platform for real-time reporting and analysis. He also led the development of a novel methodology for customer targeting in utility programs which leveraged machine learning to increase adoption rates by as much as 30% in some markets. When he was young, Jesse wanted to be a "space doctor" when he grew up. He considers his current career trajectory to be close enough.

Wade Gibson Wade Gibson, Chief Sales and Customer Acquisition Officer, Brinks Home

Wade Gibson joined Brinks Home in May 2020, bringing with him over a decade of high-level leadership experience in the private sector, U.S. military, and state and local government. In his role, Wade is responsible for company-wide lead customer acquisition efforts through direct and indirect sales, M&A and bulk buy transactions, lead-sharing, and cross-selling partnerships. He also spearheads business development efforts to attract potential new acquisitions, selling partners, and corporate partnerships. I’m a passionate problem-solver and love the satisfaction of helping others overcome facility challenges. Optimizing building efficiencies, improving staff workflow, and enhancing the resident experience is always the goal. My professional focus is on the multifamily industry and proptech however; I have a deep personal interest in the latest consumer and commercial tech. I also like to understand legacy devices and outdated systems that are still used today so that I can better understand how multifamily customers actually operate.

One of my favorite examples is the mechanical key, an invention that has remained largely unchanged for thousands of years. Jennifer Harris Jennifer Harris, Federal Program Officer, Texas Office of Internet Connectivity and Growth, US Department of Commerce, NTIA

Jennifer Harris joined the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) in August 2022 as the federal program officer (FPO) for the State of Texas. In this role, Jennifer coordinates partnerships and outreach with the state and local governments, community groups, and other entities with a vested interest on NTIA’s high-speed internet grant programs and policy issues. Jennifer works directly with the Texas Broadband Development Office and the state-level regional, county and municipal associations to ensure comprehensive engagement from all stakeholders in the state on the State’s high-speed internet planning and funding process.

Jennifer started her career at the Texas State Capitol in 2005 holding a wide range of jobs in the public sector. Her professional experience includes legislative, public policy, communications, and government affairs work with the Texas Legislature, and policy and communications work for the Florida Department of Education, along with a variety of roles on local and statewide political campaigns. Following her work at the Texas State Capitol and the Florida Department of Education, Jennifer served for three years as the State Program Director for Texas for Connected Nation, a national non-profit organization which has focused on tackling the digital divide for more than 20 years. Appointed in January 2020, Jennifer served as an inaugural member of the Governor’s Broadband Development Council. Governor Abbott re-appointed her to the Council in March 2022 and named her Vice Chair of the Council, a position which she held until joining NTIA.

Jennifer earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. She earned her Master's degree in Public Service and Administration from the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University.

Matt is an entrepreneur, innovator, and the Co-Founder and CTO of Ivani where he leads the technical team and drives overall technical strategy. With over seventy granted patents and many pending applications, he has a wealth of experience creating intellectual property. Throughout his career, Matt has driven various market innovations in both the defense and commercial sectors. After graduating from Olin College of Engineering, he has added an MBA alongside other professional certifications both in Systems Engineering and TRIZ.


Don Young Don Young, EVP and Chief Operating Officer, ADT

Don Young is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at ADT. He previously served as the company’s Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President, Field Operations. Don started in the alarm industry in 1988 after serving four years in the United States Air Force as a computer programmer analyst. Since then he has held various leadership roles across many areas within the security industry. Don is currently president of The Monitoring Association (TMA) and past president of the Partnership for Priority Video Alarm Response (PPVAR).

Maggie joined Resideo through its First Alert acquisition in 2022, and she offers significant experience in managing innovative, customer-focused, profitable products and services programs across various industries, including technology, financial services, retail, telecom, and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries. Maggie earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola University and a Master of Business Administration from the Booth School of Business, both located in Chicago. She is based in the Chicagoland area.
