Good News, Bad News for Mobile Broadband

Researchers predict that more than one billion people around the world will be using mobile broadband by 2012. For a global business now in the process of replacing voice revenue with broadband and other sources, that is good news. Parks Associates (News - Alert), for example, suggests that U.S. mobile broadband subscribers will more than triple by 2013; growth from 46 million in 2008 to more than 140 million subscribers in 2013.

Advanced TV Ad Revenues to Top $4 Billion in 2014, as Digital TV Providers Capitalize on Demand for VOD and DVRs

The Future of IPTV

Bucking downward trends in the economy through aggressive deployments, IT market researchers predict that Internet protocol television – or “IPTV” – will grow more than 50 percent this year. According to international research firm Parks Associates, the number of subscribers worldwide to telco/IPTV services will approach 40 million by year-end 2009.
