Research: 310 Million Global Connected Households to Have at Least One OTT Service by 2024
More than 310 million connected households will at least one OTT service by 2024, according to a new report from Parks Associates.
The report, OTT Video Services: Disruptive Globalization, estimates approximately 200 million households had at least one OTT service at home at the end of 2018.

Parks: Broadcast TV Still Trumps Streaming Video
Despite Netflix’s subscriber base trumping or rivaling (HBO) most pay-TV services, broadcast TV still generates the majority of home entertainment consumption — among broadband households, according to data from Parks Associates.

Parks: OTT Now ‘Standard Source of Video’
Parks Associates research finds nearly 40% of U.S. broadband households now have at least two OTT video service subscriptions, according to a report released June 11.
The research firm notes that consumers have reached a new stage in connected entertainment where OTT is a standard source of video and viewers are more willing to experiment with multiple OTT services.

Research: Increase in Digital Antenna Use Indicates Cord Cutting
The percentage of U.S. broadband households that use digital antennas in their home has steadily increased, reaching 20% near the end of 2017, up from 16% in early 2015, according to new consumer research by Parks Associates.
The increase coincides with a steady decline in pay-TV subscriptions and an increase in OTT video subscriptions, according to the report, “360 View: Access and Entertainment and Broadband Households.”
