According to research from Parks Associates, 16 per cent of US broadband households have a sports OTT video service subscription. Although it does not stream live games, NFL Game Pass is the most highly adopted service, with 6 per cent of U.S. broadband households having a subscription compared to 4 per cent for the WWE Network and MLB.TV.

Parks Associates has published European research showing a steady decline in gaming console adoption in France, Spain, and the UK while remaining flat in Germany. Continued consumer adoption of mobile gaming as well as the availability of gaming on streaming media devices has played a key role in the decline.

Parks Associates has published international data from the company’s OTT Video Market Tracker service showing OTT video usage in Western Europe is continuing to expand, with 55 per cent of UK broadband households and 51 per cent in France watching TV programming and movies online, compared to 70 per cent in the US.

Research from Parks Associates shows usage of authenticated video viewing, or TV Everywhere, reached 40 per cent of US pay-TV consumers in 2015, up from 22 per cent in 2013. Entertainment Habits on Connected CE Devices shows the percentage of respondents watching authenticated video at least once a month is 23 per cent, which both broadens and deepens the online video audience for pay-TV providers.
