Most US tablet shoppers considering an iPad

A ray of light for Microsoft’s Surface: Consumer interest doubled Nexus tablet interest ahead of holidays

Tablets are a hot category once again this holiday season and as it did in 2011, Apple’s iPad lineup is seen leading the pack this year. Consumers to increase holiday CE spending by over 33% compared to 2011, with tablets overtaking laptops as hottest item

New Consumer Analytics research from Parks Associates indicates U.S. consumers plan to spend over 33% more on CE devices this holiday season compared to last year, with the total amount increasing from $793 per household in 2011 to $1,058 in 2012. Buying Gadgets - No Gender Issue

Now back to the subject of women buying more tech products than men. According to a report from Parks Associates, more women than men are downloading movies and music, women do the majority of game-playing across some platforms, and women have higher "purchase intentions" than men do when it comes to some electronics.

Apple challenges Google's dominance in smartphones as iPhone 5 nears release

As Apple prepares to release its new iPhone model, new research from Parks Associates shows the iPhone leads its rivals in customer satisfaction, with 75% of its owners "very satisfied" with their handset versus 61% of Android phone owners.

Global LTE subscribers to top 50 mln this year: report

Global subscription to the fourth-generation long-term evolution (LTE) network is likely to surge more than five-fold to reach some 50 million this year from last year's 9 million, a report showed Monday.

75% with Internet-connected smart TVs regularly watch online video

New market research from Parks Associates finds the percentages of U.S. smart TV owners who use this Internet-connected device to watch online video increased by over 30% in six months.
