California Leads Nation In Broadband Online Health-Based Service Usage
New digital health research from Parks Associates shows close to half of California broadband households have used at least one online service offered by their doctors, compared to only 42 percent nationally. ACOs To Cover 130 Million By 2017
Parks Associates predicts more than 130 million patients will receive care from an accountable care organization by 2017.
ACO participation has nearly quadrupled since 2012. Report Predicts Increase In Video Consultations
A report from Parks Associates predicts that by 2018, about 22.6 million households will use video conferencing for consultations with their doctor. That’s a significant increase, considering this year only 900,000 households used that type of technology. According to MobiHealth News, previous data from Parks Associates says the revenue associated with video consultations will increase from less than $100 million this year to over $13.7 billion by 2018.
