Report: More than 6M U.S. consumers will use PERS devices by 2021

According to a new report from Parks Associates, more than six million people are expected to use a Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) device by 2021, nearly double the 3.36 million who are estimated to have used one at the end of 2017.

The research firm says this anticipated growth will be driven by new wearable devices, such as smart watches, and smartphone-based professionally monitored services.

Home Surveillance Comes Of Age

Dealers have a tremendous opportunity to benefit from smart home technology as consumers have started to take an interest in it — with more than half of the population excited about the technology, according to Icontrol’s report.

Where IoT and 2G Intersect
