Parks Associates today announced Alarm.com and utility San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) will discuss opportunities emerging from their groundbreaking cooperative thermostat program in the opening keynote address "Partnering for Success in Home Energy Management" at the fourth-annual Smart Energy Summit, February 25-27 in San Antonio, Texas.

Parks Associates, host of Smart Energy Summit: Engaging the Consumer, reports consumer interest in energy-saving devices is increasing, provided the solutions are minimally invasive. Nearly 50% of U.S. broadband households are very interested in a thermostat capable of automatic adjustments to save money. The Alarm.com/SDG&E program is particularly noteworthy as it leverages devices already in the home.

Roy Perry, VP, Ecosystem Alliances, Alarm.com, and Ted Reguly, Director, Customer Programs and Projects, SDG&E, will discuss partnerships and business models that leverage the growing base of connected devices in U.S. homes during their keynote on February 26 at 9 a.m.
