Apple iPhone 5S release date and features expected from Sept. 10 event
Apple’s iPhones are more widely used than Android-based smartphones among households earning more than $100,000 annually, while Android has a solid lead among those earning between $75,000 and $100,000, according to research firm Parks Associates.
A low-cost iPhone model could make sense for a carrier such as T-Mobile, which is the only company among the nation’s Big 4 carriers to do away with subsidies on smartphones.
