Apple TV Ranks Third in 2013 U.S. Streaming Device Sales: Report

Despite being available for only a year, Google’s Chromecast has pushed the Apple TV down to third place in the US, according to data released by Parks Associates (via GigaOm).

Google has sold about 3.8 million Chromecast devices, closing the gap with Roku. What’s interesting is that Apple is behind with only 2 million units sold in the US, according to Parks’ data.
