Comcast boosts Web speeds

"A lot of it is a numbers game for Comcast to be able to reach the 100 mbps speed," said Kurt Scherf, vice president and principal analyst for Dallas-based Parks Associates, which provides market research and consulting about emerging consumer technologies. Scherf said 100 megabits per second is one of the highest Internet speeds that providers are trying to reach.
