Flarion, NetGear Join Forces on High-Speed Wireless Modem ; Device Also Would Offer Users Mobility

Michael Cai, a senior analyst with Parks Associates, doesn't think Flarion will become the next Qualcomm - the company that developed wireless technology used by cellular giants Verizon Wireless and Sprint PCS, among others.

Flarion, which is privately held, employs about 200 in its Bedminster headquarters and has raised about $100 million.
