Gains Seen For Networked Home Audio
More than 60 percent of the worldwide market for home audio products will come with embedded networking capability by 2016. That's according to a survey released this week by Parks Associates.
The "Networked Audio Products: Market Update" study by Parks found that over 90 million units worldwide will feature such technologies as AirPlay and DLNA.
"The continuing popularity of music services is pushing consumers to find new ways to enjoy their growing libraries of audio content," Kurt Scherf, VP, principal analyst, Parks Associates, said.
