Internet-Enabled Entertainment
As more consumers “cut the cord” with traditional TV providers, Internet-enabled content is becoming a growing option. Research supports the growth of connected TV, and Parks Associates says there will be nearly 70 million smart TV households by 2017.
There is a growing awareness among advertisers that OTT content is gaining ground, says Parks. As connected TV becomes even more common, advertisers will need to adjust their strategies to take into account the many consumers watching via the Web.
