Mobile Broadband to Reach 140 Mil

TV WeekAn estimated 140 million people in the U.S. will be paying for mobile broadband service in 2013, MediaPost says, citing a new study from Parks Associates. Only some 46 million people had mobile broadband in 2008, the site notes. According to Parks Associates, sales of smartphones in the next five years may reach 60 million units, more than triple the amount now as the devices become more mainstream, MediaPost says.
