More U.S. consumers plan to buy smart TVs, Parks says

Parks Associates reports that more than 10% of American broadband-connected households plan to buy a smart television set in the last six months of this year, compared with 6% of such households in the first half. The market research firm also found that 19% of U.S. broadband households intend to purchase a tablet computer before the end of the year, with more than 40% of those prospective buyers expressing a preference for the iPad.
