Over 70 percent of pay-TV subscribers in Western Europe are able to receive a TV Everywhere/multiscreen service, according to a study by Parks Associates. In Eastern Europe, multiscreen availability topped 25 percent of pay-TV households early this year. However, ARPU remains low, pushing many operators to test business models.

Separately, the research firm is accepting speaker submissions for the eighth-annual Connections Europe, 12-13 November in Amsterdam. The executive conference will address challenges and business strategies for monetising connected-home services, including video, tech support, and home management. Connections Europe, with early sponsorship support from AlertMe and Sigma Designs, will address the business models and technologies of connected-home systems for the consumer.
