Purchase intention: Apple before Dell on desktop computers

U.S. users first to show greater interest in desktop Macs than on Dell computers in the planned Christmas shopping. This is evident from the survey shows the market research firm Parks Associates. In the past years was Dell nor the "top brand" been on the Christmas shopping list for desktop computers, explain the market researchers - now Apple also lies in this device category forward, as with the notebooks, tablets, smartphones, TV streaming boxes and wireless base stations. Behind Apple and Dell HP, Acer and Asus to follow in places three to five of the planned desktop purchases. The result is based on a survey conducted in the fourth quarter of 2013 survey of 2500 U.S. households with broadband connection.

Parks Associates notes that the buyers their plans may still change, and could cause actual purchase behavior accordingly: Last year, Apple TV should also have been the preferred device for TV-boxes in front of the competitors Roku among younger users - a retrospective survey on the actual buying behavior have then shown that ultimately was used somewhat more frequently than Roku boxes to the Apple TV.
