Parks Associates is predicting that connected-TVs will hit 87 million by 2016, where connected-TVs use either a smart TV or connected Blu-ray player. The study further found that these homes were extremely connected, owning an average of 11 Internet-enabled devices. Further, nearly three-quarters (72%) reported that connected-TVs make TV more convenient, and 65% said the technology makes the TV experience more enjoyable.
