Telenet, Belgium's Largest Cable Operator, Deploys Intellon-based HomePlug 1.0 Ethernet Adapters to Subscribers to Ease Installations of Broadband and IDTV

"Wireless networking is instrumental in driving productivity and providing convenience for the home user. But to ensure consistent throughput of multimedia services throughout the home network, there's still room for improvement," stated Kurt Scherf, vice president and principal analyst of Parks Associates, a Dallas-based market research firm that specializes in residential and small office technology analysis. "Content service providers are now taking a second look at broadband over powerline as an alternate solution for delivering services within the home, offering cost savings both to themselves and the user."
