Wide-range WiMax may spur wireless broadband revolution

It’s dubbed WiMax. And boosters predict this much-hyped technology will usher in a new revolution in high-speed wireless communications.

According to a study by Parks Associates, a Dallas research firm, the number of worldwide residential subscribers using WiMax is expected to reach 7.3 million by 2009 vs. zero today
