20% of Broadband Homes Now Get TV Via Antenna

Here's The Top Ten Most Popular Streaming Services This Year

"Importantly, all of these services have increased their subscriber base over the past year. The top five OTT services have stayed consistent, primarily through maintaining or growing the massive user and subscriber bases that they have built over the past several years," said Parks researcher Brett Sappington.

Here's The Top Ten Most Popular Streaming Services This Year

Netflix still leads all streaming video services by total subscribers, according to a new report by Parks Associates. That's followed by Amazon Prime, Hulu, MLB.TV, WWE Network, Sling TV, HBO Now, Crunchyroll, Showtime, and CBS All Access, according to the company's compilation of multiple consumer surveys, network traffic data, and reported OTT video service provider information. Study: 20% 'Steal' Someone Else's Streaming Video Password

A new Parks and Associates study (via Fierce Wireless) has found that 6 percent of U.S. broadband homes use a video service that belongs to someone living outside the home. Password sharing (stealing?) is particularly popular among those between the ages of 18 and 24, with 20% using streaming video passwords for accounts that don't belong to them.
