Nothing Good On: Losing It About The Apple TV

If it doesn’t sell as many units as the marquee products of the most profitable technology company in the world, it’s a disappointment.

You really are single-handedly keeping Ned in business, aren’t you?

Even with solid growth from Apple TV last year, research firm Parks Associates estimated it to be fourth behind Google, Amazon, and Roku in streaming device sales last year.

Americans want Mac

According to the latest survey by the company Parks Associates , Apple leads the ranking of intentions computer purchases for this season. For the first time, Americans want the iMac, Mac mini and Mac Pro rather than computers from Dell or HP. The Cupertino company is leading the ranking of purchase intentions in the segment of computers, but not only. Logitech buys Slim Devices in $20m deal

Analyst firm Parks Associates CEO Tricia Parks says: "We forecast music downloads, online radio and music-subscription services at close to $1 billion in 2006 for the US alone. Prepare for home media market boom

Annual sales of home media servers will reach nearly 50 million units in the US by the end of 2010, according to Parks Associates.

A new report 'Media Servers: Analysis and Forecasts' finds that demand- and supply-side drivers will spur dramatic sales growth. The report defines a media server as a hard drive-based platform with media sharing software linked via a home network.

Internet advertising to double by 2010

Internet advertising spending will double by 2010, claim researchers at Parks Associates.

A new report - 'The Changing Face of Advertising in the Digital Age' - claims spending on Internet ads will account for 10 per cent of all US ad dollars in 2010, from 5 per cent in 2004.
