Martin began his career in alternative energy in a somewhat unorthodox place: as a decorated officer on a nuclear submarine in the U.S. Navy. He has held sales and marketing positions at various tech companies, including Cisco, Siebel, Insightful and Pure Networks. Prior to running GAF Energy, he headed SunPower's residential North American business and global commercial business and served as President of SunPower Capital. He is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and has a BS from the University of North Carolina and an MBA from Harvard University. His favorite roof is the top of his bike helmet when he's out on the mountain bike trails in British Columbia.

Erika serves as the executive champion for EnergyHub's clients and end-user customers. Erika's team is responsible for ensuring the voice of the customer is central to EnergyHub's strategy and product, and includes sales, program delivery, customer and client engagement, and market development. Erika joined EnergyHub in 2015. Erika has more than 15 years of experience in the energy and software space, having served as the SVP of Corporate Development at Recyclebank and VP of Business Development at ThinkEco. She is the Vice Chair of the Advanced Energy Management Alliance (AEMA) and former Co-Chair of the Women in Demand Management group of the Peak Load Management Alliance (PLMA). Erika holds a BA in environmental studies from Vassar College, a MESc from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

KJ Feder, Vice President of Community Impact at CPS Energy, is responsible for the Equity and Casa Verde SA weatherization programs, Customer Response Unit (CRU), Community Outreach, Energy 2 Business and Public Safety & Education teams. She also has oversight of the Corporate Responsibility team which coordinates the fundraising, volunteerism, sponsorship & Smart Energy Education programs.

Previously, KJ served as the Chief of Staff to the President & CEO of CPS Energy, the nation’s largest municipally owned energy utility providing both natural gas and electric service. KJ carried out this role while concurrently serving as the Director of Board Relations. She served as a strategic partner and trusted advisor for the President & CEO, strategically led the Board of Trustees’ alignment activities and facilitated communication between the Board of Trustees and the CPS Energy Leadership Team.

Prior to joining CPS Energy, KJ was the Executive Director of the San Antonio March of Dimes where she was responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organization. She also spearheaded the foundation’s fundraising efforts to achieve the best annual financial outcome on record for the division.

KJ holds a bachelor’s degree in corporate communications from Bellevue University. She is a graduate of Leadership San Antonio (LSA), Alexander Briseño Leadership Development Program (ABLDP), and the Latina Leadership Institute (LLI). Karl leads the Electric Vehicles & Emerging Technologies Team at Austin Energy since its founding in 2011 whose program is recognized as “Drive Electric Utility of the Year” by Plugin America and “EVisionary City of North America” by the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA).

Karl has been a Principal Investigator on over ten innovation grants and leads the utility’s “5 EV Pillar Strategy” advancing transportation electrification through infrastructure, fleets, grid integration, outreach, and equity. Karl serves on several boards to include The Energy Thought Summit, Austin Forum on Technology & Society, CS Week EVCx Forum, and co-chair of the Austin Climate Equity Plan workgroup.

An active speaker and research contributor, Karl is co-author of "Smart Cities; Applications & Standards” an industry/college textbook published by Springer. Previous roles include the utility’s interim Chief Information Officer, a Managing Director at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, and a Captain in the US Army Corps of Engineers.

As Head of Energy Services at Electrify America, Jigar is responsible for the company’s energy portfolio, including leveraging energy storage to manage electricity costs, engaging with utilities and wholesale energy markets on policy matters and rate structures, minimizing Electrify America’s energy carbon footprint, as well as addressing vehicle-grid integration matters. He plays a key role within the company managing the energy used from over 200 utilities by more than 3,500 individual ultra-fast DC chargers across over 800 Electrify America public charging stations – the largest open charging network in the United States supporting electric vehicle adoption. In 2021, these ~700 Megawatts (MW) of 150 kilowatt (KW) to 350 kW ultra-fast chargers dispensed 41.4 gigawatt-hours of energy to fuel more than 145 million electric vehicle miles, avoiding the use of 5.7 million gallons of gasoline.

J.T. leads a global team of sales and commercial operations leaders who help utilities and cooperatives solve their grid problems. Over the course of his career, he has held myriad roles in the energy business across companies including ICAP, Constellation NewEnergy, GE, Noble Americas Energy Solutions and others. He’s been an energy broker, sales leader, and, most recently at Generac Grid Services, the VP of enterprise accounts.

Shankar Achanta serves as Vice of Products at Sunnova where he is responsible for leading and managing portfolio of products and solutions for powering homes and businesses with new electrification technologies. Mr. Achanta brings over 20 years of experience in developing and managing technology product portfolios for power utilities and industrial customers. He received his M.S. in electrical engineering from Arizona State University in 2002. Prior to joining Sunnova, Mr. Achanta held several leadership roles at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. (SEL) since 2002 in research and development division and is named on 25+ awarded patents in the field of power systems, communications, and sensor technologies and has also authored several technical papers. As an R&D and product leader throughout his career, Mr. Achanta started several new product lines and grew them into successful business units. He developed multiple successful partnerships with large organizations, to build joint solutions and go-to-market strategies.

Aaron Berndt is Head of Energy Industry Partnerships at Google, where he leads the team that works with utility partners to develop customer-focused energy programs that leverage Google Nest products. Prior to joining Google, Aaron was a leader in PG&E's Customer Energy Solutions team, with responsibility for the delivery of key products and programs in PG&E's portfolio. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and an M.B.A from U.C. Berkeley Haas School of Business.

Steven Blumenfeld is a go-to-market leader who focuses on technologies that can enable a clean energy future. Steven began working with Arcadia in 2019 to help create and launch Arcadia's enterprise software business, Arc. He currently serves as Senior Director on the Enterprise Platform team, where he leads Arc's go-to-market strategy. Steven began his work in the utility industry at Opower in 2012, where he served in a number of regulatory, strategy, and solution consulting roles supporting Opower's growth through IPO and acquisition by Oracle in 2016. Steven graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies. With over 12 years in the energy industry, Luis works with utilities to develop solutions that influence customer behavior, and encourage wide scale adoption of load management programs, energy efficiency, renewable energy & electrification. As Business Development Manager at Enel X, Luis manages utility & municipal government business development in the Central & Eastern United States. Since starting with Enel X in mid-2020, Luis has expanded Enel X's utility portfolio and its electric vehicle smart charging products and energy management services to utilities including WEC Energy Group, Consumers Energy, Clark Public Utilities, DTE, and FPL. Luis is also spearheading electric vehicle charging infrastructure development in Mexico and Puerto Rico. Throughout his career, Luis' goal has been to demonstrate that EV infrastructure is a key to achieving a net-zero carbon emissions future. Prior to Enel X, Luis was the Director of Growth at Enervee where he launched several marketplaces with utility partners including LADWP, Con-Edison, SCE and AEP Ohio, among others, helping them reach their energy efficiency savings and demand-response program participation goals. Luis grew up in Mexico City, where he earned his BA from Universidad Iberoamericana in International Business Management.

Robert Cruickshank is a technology strategist and implementer of electric load shaping that increases the reliability and sustainability of the grid by enabling demand from buildings and transportation to maximize renewable energy and minimize fuel costs and carbon emissions. A 40-year veteran in energy & telecom, Dr. Cruickshank developed smart building applications at AT&T Bell Labs and now builds electric grid monitoring & control systems with CableLabs, Gridmetrics, and U.S. DOE National Labs

Brad works with utilities across the U.S. to design and implement electrification and load management programs based on SPAN's technology and software platform. Brad has more than two decades of experience in the utility industry -- before joining SPAN, he was Head of Demand Response Partnerships at Google Nest, where he led sales and business development efforts for Nest's "Rush Hour Rewards" product. Previously, Brad was Vice President of Utility Solutions for EnerNOC, Inc., where he managed a 40-person team responsible for sales, marketing, and consulting to electric and gas utilities worldwide. Earlier in his career, Mr. Davids held a variety of leadership positions related to retail energy services, including Vice President for EPRI Solutions, President and CEO of Primen, and Senior Vice President of the energy research firm E Source, which he co-founded in 1992. Mr. Davids received master’s and bachelor’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Stanford University.

Keally comes to solar with the conviction that carbon-neutral is the new black. She started in renewables as the Head of Marketing for the largest solar company in the Northeast before moving into marketing and public policy leadership roles at Sunrun and SunPower. As the National Organizing Director of The Alliance for Solar Choice (TASC), Fortune magazine described the netroots work she pioneered as radically changing political advocacy through digital technology. Prior to joining GAF Energy, she served as Head of Marketing at Mosaic. She has a BA from Brown University. Jennifer Doctor is the Senior Director of Product Management for Johnson Controls, Global Products’ Intrusion detection portfolio. In this capacity, Jennifer leads a global team managing more than 5,000 traditional and smart home security products around the globe in residential and commercial markets.

Jennifer joined Johnson Controls from ADT North America where she was the Director of Product Strategy. She brings a dozen years of experience in the security industry, and nearly 25 years of experience in product marketing and product management to Johnson Controls, having worked with companies to help them bring products to market profitably. In addition to her unique blend of product management, product marketing and marketing skills, Jennifer also brings IT skills and certifications to her portfolio including ITIL, CMMi, Certified Agile Leader and Certified SAFe 5 Product Owner/Product Manager.

Chloe Mayhew is a Program Manager at the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE). CEE is the US and Canadian consortium of gas and electric efficiency program administrators who work together to accelerate the development and availability of energy efficient products and services for lasting public benefit. Chloe oversees the activities and direction of the Residential Sector at large while managing committees focused on residential products and new construction. Within these areas, she facilitates members to build consensus positions and identify opportunities where binational consistency can lead to increased uptake of efficient and connected products. 

Troy Morgan is the founder and CEO of PanTech Design LLC, the creators of Adapt for Crestron systems and Adapt Energy. He’s a Master Level Crestron programmer with 28 years of programming experience. He programmed his first Crestron system in 1997 and has been responsible for thousands of successful implementations of both commercial and residential Crestron systems since then. He started the Crestron Southwest office in 1999 and held many different titles during his employ at Crestron to include running the CAIP program for Crestron for 2 years. (Crestron Authorized Independent Programmer).
His passion for Crestron and the technological capabilities of the hardware sparked a move to start PanTech Design LLC in March of 2005. By recognizing the need for a company dedicated to the success of the Crestron Integrator, he’s grown his team to a total of 10 people focused on design, engineering and programming of Crestron systems.

In 2012 he recognized the need for faster and more flexible programming tools for the residential market and began developing with his team a new way to program Crestron systems called ADAPT. ADAPT was launched in September of 2015 and now has over 100+ integrators using the ADAPT software platform and over 3000 ADAPT systems deployed around the US.

In August of 2016 ADAPT was recognized by Crestron as a Certified Integrated Partner (CIP). To date, ADAPT is the only software that goes into Crestron hardware as a system with this distinction.

Wayne Morrison is Principal of Emerging Technology with responsibility for reviewing new technology at Reliant, an NRG company. Wayne has 40+ years electrical industry experience in both regulated and deregulated markets.

Wayne evaluates, develops and implements emerging energy products and services for customers, including home automation and energy storage technologies. He manages the Reliant Smart Home in Houston, Texas, which serves as the company’s real-world research and development hub, where he provides educational sessions on new technologies available in the market.

Wayne’s career started in distribution engineering. Wayne has held positions coordinating electric service for residential, commercial and industrial customers and was program manager for several energy efficiency programs.

Wayne earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Technology from the University of Houston. He is licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission for instruction of agents on new technologies. 

Mr. Oberholzer’s primary responsibility at Resideo is to manage the utility and business aspects of the Resideo Grid Services business and the two-dozen load management programs it supports. As one of the platform’s inventers, he has been instrumental in driving it from inception in 2010 to an industry leading DRMS for residential energy products by focusing on data, analytics, and automated intelligence. Mr. Oberholzer is responsible for all aspects of service delivery to our utility customers and the profit and loss of the business overall. Before founding this business in 2010, Mr. Oberholzer spent the previous decade + in technical and business management in the telecommunications industry primarily at Verizon Wireless. Prior to that, Mr. Oberholzer was a Naval Flight Officer in the U.S. Navy making several overseas deployments to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa flying the S-3B Viking off the USS America and deploying airborne national security sensors worldwide for the National Security Agency. Mr. Oberholzer was also honored to be a White House Social Aide.

Max is the Senior Manager for Grid Services in EV Charging Solutions. He leads Toyota’s efforts on electric vehicle-grid integration. This includes utility outreach, managed charging, vehicle-to-grid, and related products. Max has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and a Master’s degree in Technology and Policy from MIT. 

Sadia Raveendran is a Senior Director of Industry Solutions at AutoGrid, the leading energy flexibility management platform provider for the industry. Sadia has over a decade of experience in clean energy across technologies, regions, and functions. Prior to joining AutoGrid, she worked at GE Renewable Energy in product management roles for equipment, services, and digital products (internal tools) for the onshore wind business. Prior to that, she did research on carbon capture and sequestration at the MIT Energy Initiative and helped build Tata Power's solar power portfolio in India. At AutoGrid, her work focuses on the demand side of clean energy and effective management strategies for the ever-evolving electricity grid. She works closely with AutoGrid’s customers to design and implement energy flexibility management programs that make them leaders in the energy transition. She graduated from Wellesley College with majors in Physics & Economics and completed her master’s degree at MIT in Technology & Policy.

Daniel Richmond is the senior manager of EV and Solar Strategy for Green Mountain Energy. With over a decade of experience in the industry, Daniel utilizes his knowledge of product innovation and strategy to passionately educate consumers on solar panels, EVs, and other renewables. Before joining Green Mountain Energy, Daniel held positions at NRG Energy, EVgo, and JPMorgan Chase.

Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, he moved to Houston in 2004 to go to Rice University, where he began his career in renewable energy and energy efficiency by writing a business plan for an Energy Service Company. Since then, he has received a Master of Business Administration from Tulane University and now lives in Houston with his wife and two daughters.

Scott Rosenberg is vice president of business development, content and services at Roku, where he is responsible for developing content partnerships for the Roku platform. Prior to Roku, Scott co-founded and led Umami TV, a VC-backed startup in NYC that pioneered the use of audio fingerprinting to enable synchronized companion TV experiences on mobile and tablet devices. Prior to Umami, he was vice president of Advanced Advertising at Rovi, where he led interactive ad sales. Scott has also held senior product and engineering roles at BlackArrow, ReplayTV, Analog Devices, and Intel. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Princeton, was a Fulbright Fellow to Japan. He earned a master’s degree in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science and an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

JP is Vice President of Local Development, Electrification and Innovation at East Bay Community Energy (EBCE), the not-for-profit agency providing greener power at lower rates, while reinvesting earnings back into the community to create local green energy jobs, local programs, and clean power projects. Prior to EBCE, JP served roles at Greenpeace, Vote Solar, and Sungevity. He holds a Master’s Degree from the University of California at Berkeley from the Energy and Resources Group.

Kevin Schwain serves as Senior Director of Electric Vehicle Strategy at EnergyHub, helping enhance the company's offerings in the fast-growing EV charging management category. Kevin spent more than a decade with Xcel Energy. Most recently he led the strategy, policy, and programming of the utility's electric transportation efforts across their eight state footprint. While at Xcel Energy he designed and implemented more than 50 EV charging programs, giving him unique expertise in the needs and priorities of utilities and their customers as we all prepare for the impacts of widespread EV adoption. Kevin has graduate degrees in engineering and business from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

As one of the few solar veterans to start his career “on-the-roof” Will has watched as the industry has evolved from an emerging technology to the disruptive force it is now. Over the past 17 years Will has represented both large PV manufacturers and early start-ups in roles such as product development, sales, strategy, and consulting. Now at Schneider, Will leads business biz-dev and strategy for their key solar partners helping to drive emerging home energy management solutions.

Essie is head of product marketing at Copper Labs, where he identifies opportunities for electric, gas, and water utilities to leverage real-time data from existing meters to support an informed transition to a low-carbon economy, increase resilience in the face of a changing climate, improve equity, manage demand, and deliver an excellent customer experience. Prior to joining Copper Labs, Essie supported utility leaders across North America on key topics relating to decarbonization and innovative technologies. At E Source, he published more than 300 papers and articles on the strategic implications of emerging energy technologies and trends, and led their utility-focused smart home initiatives. Then, at ICF, he worked closely with major natural gas and dual-fuel utilities to support their climate planning, reporting, and innovation roadmapping efforts, and co-authored the American Gas Association’s pioneering "Net-Zero Emissions Opportunities for Gas Utilities" report in partnership with dozens of leading gas utilities from across the US. Essie holds a BS in Engineering Physics from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Andy Spielman serves as Director of Business Development-North America for Tuya Global, a global leading IoT platform provider. He has been in the consumer electronics space for over 20 years leading both national sales and product development teams in developing cutting edge technology products and delivering hundreds of products to market. Over the last 6 years he has focused on the IoT space and has deep knowledge of home energy management, both from a consumer and supplier standpoint. Prior to entering the IoT industry, he held various positions at CPG companies across multiple categories. This combination of experience gives him a unique perspective on production ideation to manufacturing to sales execution.

Courtney Thier is the Director of Enterprise Solutions at Elevation, a fully integrated residential energy solutions provider serving residents, institutional landlords, and electric utilities across multiple states. At Elevation, Courtney leads deployment of large scale solar systems to single family rental portfolios and integrates Elevation's proprietary energy technology to strategically benefit SFR operators and their residents. Prior to Elevation, Courtney led product development and account management at Curb, an energy management platform, overseeing the strategy for smart home integration, controls and automation, and user experience. Courtney holds a B.S. in Engineering from Lehigh University, an M.S. in Environmental Engineering and Green Design from Carnegie Mellon University, and an M.S. in Engineering Innovation Management from Carnegie Mellon University. 

Eamonn Urey is a Senior Product Manager at Salt River Project (SRP). Eamonn’s background includes eight years in electric utility programs and product management at SRP. Eamonn has spoken at various professional organizations as a guest speaker for AESP, SEPA, ESource, and PLMA. He currently manages Demand Response programs (totaling 150 MW of dispatchable load) for residential smart thermostats (BYOT), Business Demand Response programs, a Multifamily Demand Response program via smart thermostats (MF BYOT), the country’s first small business Demand Response via smart thermostats (SMB BYOT) and is expanding SRP’s EV managed charging programs.

Previously, he worked for Apple, managing interconnection programs. Eamonn is currently enrolled in the Harvard Extension School’s Sustainability Master’s degree program. Eamonn is a disabled combat veteran with over 20-years of service in the United States Army Reserve, specializing in Counterintelligence operations and targeting operations with various combat deployments. He has recently been selected for promotion to Command Sergeant Major, the highest enlisted non-commissioned officer rank in the United States Army. Eamonn is currently an Executive Board Member of the Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) and the Peak Load Management Association (PLMA).

Eamonn brings a very diverse professional and personal background to the role, along with an extensive knowledge of utility programs. He has exceptional interpersonal communication, public speaking, and networking skills, while expanding his professional network within the utility market. He also has twin 7-year-old boys, with his wife Autam, with one of the twins having an Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Dr. Wacks has been a pioneer in establishing the home systems industry and a management advisor to 150 clients worldwide. His business spans home and building systems, utility customer services, and digital entertainment networks (including HDTV and IPTV). He was appointed by the United States Department of Energy to the 13-member GridWise Architecture Council to develop smart grid strategies for reliable and efficient distribution of electricity. The Consumer Electronics Association chose Dr. Wacks to chair the international committee (ISO/IEC) establishing world standards for home and building systems and energy management. In addition, he has written American National Standards in home automation.

Dr. Wacks chairs the Editorial Advisory Board of the CABA magazine iHomes & Buildings (available at www.caba.org) and is a featured contributor under the byline “Ken Wacks’Perspectives.” Dr. Wacks received his Ph.D. from MIT as a Hertz Fellow and studied at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Gerald Zingraf is a solutioning and sales enablement director at GridPoint, a leader in building energy management and optimization technology that decarbonizes commercial buildings and accelerates a more sustainable energy future. With nearly a decade of experience developing energy efficiency strategies and technology tools, Zingraf offers deep industry insight to developing a network of smart, connected and efficient buildings. At GridPoint, he has supported growth in various roles including business development, product management–including the development of a patented HVAC testing tool–solution engineering, partnership integration and sales enablement.
