Long Range Systems rolls out system to help eateries

Nintendo is the market leader in portable gaming devices, but Sony Corp. may wind up a big winner. In a survey of 2,000 Internet users who plan to buy such a gadget, 49% told Dallas-based Parks Associates they will go for the Sony PlayStation Portable. Two Nintendo devices scored a combined 33% among this group: The Gamboy DS (18%) and Gameboy Advanced (15%). Only 4% were planning to buy a Nokia N-Gage.

Recent surge in broadband demand may be short-lived

Less than one-third of U.S. households with dial-up Internet service are interested in upgrading in the next 12 months, indicating a significant decline in potential broadband subscribers over the past year.

HO2 figures that the market for unified messaging could reach between $2 billion and $5 billion within the next three years.
