Over 640mn broadband households worldwide predicted by 2013

The demand for high-bandwidth applications will jump in the next few years as the number of households worldwide with broadband will reach close to 650mn by 2013, according to a new study from US research firm Parks Associates.

Catch-up services ranked "most valuable" of TV 2.0 services

Broadband households in Europe and the US consistently rank primetime anytime VoD services, or 'catch-up TV', as the most valuable of all TV 2.0 offerings, according to a new report from US firm Parks Associates.

Parks Associates anticipates over 100mn IPTV households globally by 2013

US research firm Parks Associates is predicting that there will be in excess of 100mn households worldwide subscribing to IPTV services by 2013, giving a compound annual growth rate of approximately 38%, according to the company. Brits go doolally over DVRs

“If Americans are wedded to their TVs, Europeans are just dating,” said John Barrett, Director of Research at Parks Associates.
