Ultra HDTV sets are steadily growing -- but they won’t reach a dominant majority of U.S. TV homes that currently have HDTV for another decade.
Market researcher Parks Associates says by 2024 to 2026, 4K TV sets -- which can deliver four times the quality of current HDTV sets -- will top 80% of U.S. TV homes. More immediately, Park estimates 4K TV sets will hit mass-market pricing in the next two or three years.

Twenty percent of all smartphone owners already used at least one mobile location service or mobile wallet in 2013, according to the Parks Associates study Transforming Commerce: Mobile Wallets and LBS.

At the Consumer Electronics Show, research was released that shows about 66% of pay-TV subscribers “express interest in features they currently do not have,” per Parks Associates.

More and more consumers are viewing video via over-the-top services, according to just-released research from Parks Associates. About 50% of U.S. broadband homes use subscription or transactional over-the-top video, the research firm said when it released its newest data at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week.
