Tick, Tock: Smart Watches Will Heat Up for Holiday 2015, Says Parks Associates Report
Since smart watches took off with a bang when early adopters purchased them sight-unseen and value-unknown, sales have generally slumped.
Then again … how many days until Christmas?
But a new Parks Associates report — “360 View Update Smart Watch and Beyond: New Mobile Experiences” — suggests the devices are rising in popularity and could be a hot holiday item in late 2015.

Parks Associates Report: Broadband Households More Inclined to Cancel Pay-TV When OTT Available

Smart Home Controllers a Growing Market
Parks Associates has announced new Internet of Things (IoT) research indicating that nearly 4 percent of U.S. households will have a smart home controller by the end of 2014.
That figure is expected to increase to nearly 6 percent by 2015. Smartphones Not The Top Gifts of the Holiday Season
New research from Parks Associates shows that smartphones were not the hottest gifts of this past holiday shopping season.
Gaming consoles and tablets are the most popular consumer electronics gift purchases for family members, the new report shows.
A 4Q 2013 survey of U.S. broadband households revealed that 47% of game-console shoppers and 45% of tablet shoppers planned to buy these products as gifts for a household member.

iPhone Users Are Happy But Want More from Siri
According to the findings of a new consumer research report from the international research firm Parks Associates, more than half of Apple iPhone 4S Users are satisfied with Siri – the voice-controlled personal assistant – and 37% want more from the feature, specifically Siri-style voice command for TV.
