Bjorn Dybdahl: Not just another pretty face

San Antonio Express NewsHome theaters are in about 28 percent of all U.S. households — from the most basic systems costing as little as $500 to intricate systems that can range upwards of $250,000 — according to Parks Associates, a high-tech research firm in Dallas.

Now with high-definition television all the rage, Parks Associates reports that nearly 47 percent of U.S. households plan to buy an HDTV in the next 12 months. That would boost HDTV sales by 30 percent and HD video services by 38 percent by the end of 2006.
