Connected future’ envisioned for electronic devices

A report published Tuesday by Dallas-based research firm Parks Associates found that 29 percent of the tablets sold in 2010 had built-in 3G connectivity, but it forecast that more than half of tablets sold in 2015 will have such a connection built in. More than half of mobile subscribers will be paying for a high-speed 3G or 4G connection by 2015, Parks said.
