Dude, Where's My Health Info?

Congratulations! The app on your health device says your blood pressure is back to normal! Are you sure you’re the only one that knows about this?

According to a recent research by Parks Associates, approximately 23 percent of consumers have privacy and security concerns about using connected health devices and fitness tracking devices. Nearly 35 percent of consumers were concerned that their personal health information won't remain confidential online, the study said. In the wake of recent high-profile data hacks—including the February 2015 attack on Anthem Inc.’s database—safeguarding health information is becoming a top concern for consumers and health care organizations.
