TV still the main screen in UK

The report came as a US study by market research firm Parks Associates said that the percentage of smart TV owners in the US that connect their devices to the web had increased from 40% in 2010 to 56% today.

The Smart TVs in a Pay-TV World report showed that the number of internet-connectable TVs shipped will jump from less than 1% in 2008 to over 45% in 2012, and adds that 71% of US smart TV owners who connect their sets to the web watch online TV shows at least monthly, against 51% in 2011.
